Modernisation of the Entrance Area at AB Harfa and a Technically Complex Fit-Out Delivered During Full Operation
Acting as the general contractor, the Colliers Design & Build project team delivered the project from initial preparation works through to the final handover of a modern and representative entrance space. One of the key challenges of the project was maintaining uninterrupted operation of the building’s main entrance throughout the entire construction period. The works were therefore executed in carefully planned phases, with a strong focus on minimising disruption for tenants and visitors. The project also involved precisely managed construction logistics, temporary operational measures, and ongoing coordination with the building’s project management team.
The scope of works included the removal of existing elements, construction modifications to non-load-bearing vertical structures, installation of new finishes, bespoke ceiling features with integrated lighting, a new reception desk, entrance turnstiles, a new revolving door, and related technologies. The project also required close coordination between the construction works and the building services disciplines, including MEP, electrical, and low-voltage systems.
The result is a modern, open, and architecturally distinctive entrance area that significantly enhances both user comfort and the overall representational quality of the building. The reconstruction of the AB Harfa reception further demonstrates Colliers’ ability to successfully deliver technically and organisationally demanding projects within a live operational environment, strengthening our position as a trusted general contractor for office developments.
